UCLA, on behalf of the California Conservation Genomics Project, is pleased to issue a 2020 Call for Proposals. The California Conservation Genomics Project (CCGP) seeks single and multi-investigator proposals from UC researchers to conduct conservation genomic research in California.  The CCGP, funded by the state of California, involves conservation biologists, genomicists, ecologists and climate scientists from all ten UC campuses.

On December 9, 2019, Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Administration Marcia Smith shared an announcement notifying the UCLA research community that all UCLA Research Administration operations will be closed from Saturday, December 21, 2019 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020 in observance of the UCLA Winter Closure. The offices will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2019 and reopen at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, January 2, 2020.

Implementation Science Award LOIs Due by Nov. 25

UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI), and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (LAC DHS) are partnering to give Implementation Science Awards for the design and small-scale implementation of interventions within LAC DHS that will achieve the goals of quality, efficiency and patient-centered care. Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP) 2020 Call for Applications

The Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP) of California administers the portion of state retail taxes on tobacco products that are designated for research within California. This unique source of funding supports investigators at eligible California institutions whose research contributes directly to the elimination of smoking and the use of tobacco products and mitigates the human and economic costs of tobacco product use in California.

Under the 2019 call for applications, TRDRP awarded over $57 million dollars to 28 institutions across California.
