The UCLA Research & Creative Activities organization has a number of initiatives in progress at any given time and new ones identified each year. Often the initiative transitions into standard operations integrated into the daily functions of the office.
To date, these initiatives have focused on infrastructure improvements and/or research development (activities designed to facilitate individual faculty members, teams of researchers and their support personnel in attracting extramural research funding, creating relationships and developing and implementing strategies that increase institutional competitiveness).
