Collaboration between northern UC campuses (Berkeley, Davis, and San Francisco) and Lawrence Berkeley and Lawrence Livermore national laboratories led to many high-profile scientific breakthroughs and workforce development. The Southern California Hub (The SoCAL Hub) was created to facilitate a greater collaboration between southern UC campuses (Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego) and national labs (Lawrence Berkeley, Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos.) The SoCAL Hub will strengthen this new partnership through workshops, resources, and other engagements.
