UCLA Grand Challenges officially announced its first student contest for the Thriving in a Hotter Los Angeles Grand Challenge Project.
UCLA students were asked to provide innovative solutions for the Thriving in a Hotter Los Angeles Grand Challenge Project: for the LA region to reach 100% renewable energy and 100% local water while maintaining or increasing native biodiveristy by 2050.
There is a Grand Prize of $2000, Best LA Entry for $1000, Best UCLA Entry for $1000, and People's Choice for $1000. Students can enter here: http://tinyurl.com/sustainLA
