On April 4, 2025, Vice Provost for International Studies and Global Engagement Cindy Fan and Vice Chancellor for Research & Creative Activities Roger M. Wakimoto announced a new grant opportunity, the Global Research Award. The new award funds two types of grants:
- Seed Research Grants: up to $20,000 for up to one year to launch new partnerships, pilot new research projects, or test new research methods in global context.
- Global Research Grants: up to $50,000 for up to two years to advance existing research projects, enhance international partnerships, expand the scope of existing domestic research, and/or engage students and other partners in a research initiative that addresses global questions.
All UCLA Senate Faculty, Non-ladder Faculty in a Professional Title, and Academic Staff are eligible to apply. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2025.
