Vice Chancellor for Research Roger Wakimoto Circulates Information about the Impact of Limited Stay at Home Order on Essential Research

On November 21, 2020, Vice Chancellor for Research Roger Wakimoto shared information regarding the impact of the Limited Stay at Home Order on approved research activities. As part of the communication, VC Wakimoto noted that staff and students working on research for a PI are considered part of the essential workforce based on approval of their Research Operational Plans. As such, these staff and students do not need to be sent home during the 10:00pm to 5:00am curfew currently in place. A certification letter including this information has been signed by Michael Beck, Vice Chancellor for Administration, and is available for essential workers to keep with them at all times. Staff and students should contact their respective Dean’s office in order to obtain a copy of the signed letter.

For more details and guidance, please read the message from VC Wakimoto.
