UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute receives $69.6 million grant from NIH

The UCLA Clinical and Translational Science Institute, a research partnership of UCLA, Cedars–Sinai Medical Center, Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute, has received a $69.6 million grant from the National Institutes of Health. The consortium was created in 2011 by a previous five-year grant for $83.1 million from the NIH. The new five-year grant supports biomedical research that accelerates the translation of laboratory discoveries into more effective treatments for patients.
