Calling on UCLA Expertise to Transform Transportation in Los Angeles

On January 6, 2023, The Sustainable LA Grand Challenge (SLAGC) initiative announced its new Transformative Research and Collaboration (TRACtion) program. TRACtion will be a series of collaborative activities and opportunities across a two-year period, with a significant emphasis on civic engagement and societal impact. The program is aimed at bringing academics together with stakeholders in the region to co-develop a multi-year regional sustainability agenda for future research, education and service activities at UCLA.SLAGC will be partnering with UCLA’s Institute of Transportation Studies (ITS) to pilot the first two-year cycle of this program, which will thematically focus on Transforming Transportation in Los Angeles.
