The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activities (ORCA) and the HBCU Planning Committee invite you to an informational session to learn about and join us in the development of a collaboration with the HBCU Morgan State University (MSU). We at UCLA and Morgan State University are interested in the ways in which we can develop a mutual, bidirectional collaboration for our faculties, students and program administrators.
To shape the next steps in this bidirectional partnership, the HBCU Task Force Committee is hosting an event for the Bruin community members who have an interest in collaborating with MSU. This event, the UCLA-MSU Information Forum, will take place on Thursday, November 21st, 2024 9am-12pm in Luskin Conference Center. This event will offer an opportunity to learn more about potential collaborations that are open for participation with MSU. We hope to hear ways that you might want to develop collaborations with MSU that can benefit research, faculty mentoring, and exchanges of undergraduate and graduate students bidirectionally. Additionally, this may help those of you interested in pursuing the UC HBCU grant develop ideas.
Due to the AFSCME Union strike scheduled on 11/20 and 11/21, the UCLA-MSU HBCU Initiative Information Forum has been postponed until Winter quarter. All guests who submitted a RSVP will be informed of the updated details via email. In the meantime, please continue to check the website for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
