Kathleen Marshall

Kathleen Marshall is a Samala Chumash from the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians. She is a mother, wife, grandmother, and daughter. Her parents are Teresa and Miguel Lopez, and she grew up on the reservation. She is  a credentialed Samala Chumash language and culture teacher and worked hand in hand with Dr. Applegate on creating their dictionary. She currently serves as a Samala Chumash Language Director and culture teacher in the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Culture Department.
