UC Center Sacramento: Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in Research and Public Policy

The UC Center Sacramento announces its annual Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in Research and Public Policy. The award will recognize excellence in graduate student research with a direct impact on public policy. The recipients of the Emerging Scholars Award will receive a cash prize and will deliver an invited policy lecture at the UC Center Sacramento.\

Submissions should include:

  • An abstract (250 words)
  • Two page summary of policy research paper, with the student as lead author (paper may be “in progress,” “in press,” or published no earlier than January 1, 2020)
  • Current CV
  • Teaching evaluations from last two quarters/semesters or other evidence of effective public speaking
  • Letter of recommendation from a supervising professor that specifically comments on both the impact of the applicant’s research and his or her effectiveness as a public speaker
