The UC Center Sacramento announces its annual Emerging Scholars Award for Excellence in Research and Public Policy. The award will recognize excellence in graduate student research with a direct impact on public policy. The recipients of the Emerging Scholars Award will receive a cash prize and will deliver an invited policy lecture at the UC Center Sacramento.\
Submissions should include:
- An abstract (250 words)
- Two page summary of policy research paper, with the student as lead author (paper may be “in progress,” “in press,” or published no earlier than January 1, 2020)
- Current CV
- Teaching evaluations from last two quarters/semesters or other evidence of effective public speaking
- Letter of recommendation from a supervising professor that specifically comments on both the impact of the applicant’s research and his or her effectiveness as a public speaker
Award Amount and Details
The recipients of the Emerging Scholars Award will receive a $750 prize and will deliver an invited policy lecture at the UC Center.
